The Des Moines Arts Festival® traces its beginnings to 1958 when the Des Moines Art Center hosted the All Iowa Art Fair to help celebrate their 10th anniversary. Between 1958-1982, the event was given many names including All Iowa Art Fair, Iowa Artists Exhibition, Iowa Artists Annual Show, and Iowa Art Show. In 1983, the festival was officially identified as Art in the Park. In 1992, the event was moved from the grounds of the Des Moines Art Center to the Iowa State Fairgrounds until in 1998 it was moved downtown along the Des Moines River. The festival went through another name change to become the Des Moines Arts Festival.

Smoky Hill River Festival Fine Art and Craft Show presents artists from all over the nation. This highly competitive, juried show presents original gallery-quality fine art and contemporary and traditional craft and folk art. The show has garnered numerous national awards of recognition. Both artists and patrons can expect a show of the highest quality across every category of artwork presented. Steeped in the tradition of a "true arts celebration," the show provides an exciting opportunity to sell and purchase through a very direct, rewarding and personal experience.

Private and Business Patrons from all over the region enthusiastically anticipate this once-a-year opportunity to select and purchase beautiful, original work for their homes, offices or for gift giving. Over $11,000 in Jurors' Merit awards are given including $2,000 of art purchased for the Salina Community Collection. Media represented include ceramics, jewelry, fiber, mixed media, painting, drawing/pastels, glass, metal, wood, graphics/printmaking, digital, paper, sculpture, and photography.

The Prairie Village Art Show is celebrating their 64th year of connecting the community to culture and creativity! As the second oldest Art Show in Kansas City, the Prairie Village Art Show has an established footprint in the artist community showcasing artists both local and from all over the country.

More than 90 visual artists will fill the Historic Paseo Arts District, selling original artwork in a wide variety of media, from painting and photography to wood and jewelry. The Festival also hosts more than 50 live performers and musicians on three stages. The food court at Paseo Drive and 29th Street will feature a variety of food vendors, bringing traditional and not-so-traditional Festival treats, both savory and sweet.

Fiesta Arts Fair is an annual, art-focused fundraising event that provides general operating support for Southwest School of Art; the only independent college of art in Texas. What began as a small art fair in 1973, has since grown into one of the highlights of the Fiesta San Antonio®, with an annual attendance of approximately 12,000 people. The 2-day event takes place early in the Fiesta San Antonio season on the campus of Southwest School of Art and generates funds for the School through ticket sales and sponsorships. Fiesta Arts Fair showcases the contemporary art of more than 100 artists from across the United States and features works in a variety of media, including metal, ceramics, glass, painting, photography, textures and jewelry.
