Parallel Universe: Padparadscha Sapphire and Yellow/Rose Gold Ring

Stone(s): 3.0 mm Padparadscha sapphire. 

Material(s): One band is 18K yellow gold and the other band is 14K rose gold. 

Band Measurement(s): Complete band measures 6.0 mm wide and tapers to 2.8 mm wide. The 18K yellow gold band measures 1.5 mm wide. The 14K Rose gold band measures 2.0 mm wide.

Description/Artist Notes: Padparadscha sapphires are one of the rarest gemstones in the world. The color of Padparadscha sapphires is a blend of pink and orange, with golden undertones. 

Colored sapphires are pink or white when mined from the earth. They then undergo a treatment called Beryllium Diffusion, to permanently create the colored sapphire. Beryllium diffused sapphires are not radioactive and will not fade. The enhancement does not affect the price and is an affordable option compared to naturally occurring Padparadscha colored sapphires, which are extremely rare.
