About the Artist
Nichole Collins is a metalsmith and jewelry artist. She recieved a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Metalsmithing and Jewelry Design from The University of Kansas and has studied at the prestigious Lahti Polytechnic in Lahti, Finland.
Flower petals are an intrical part of the design of my jewelry. Layers of petals are inlaid in resin to create depth and contrast against the line of the silver. Each piece of flower petal is placed by hand, into the resin, then sanded and polished. The metal is hand fabricated in sterling silver and 18k yellow gold. Geometric shapes along with organic curves create a contemporary style yet has a subtle organic influence.
